Took Ella to a walk-in clinic yesterday. She stood in the middle of the waiting room and glowered at everyone for a bit before deciding to sit on my lap.

When I say glowered I really mean it. It was the nastiest dirtiest look I’ve ever seen. Combine that with red-rimmed runny pink-eyed eyes, snot-crusted sleep-mussed hair, raw red runny nose, soother in, blanky and lamby in armpit, she was quite the sight.

Yesterday, I noticed that a pair of pants I bought for Marshall about 2 months ago looked a bit short on him. I said “Marshall! Are those pants getting too small for you already???” and he replied, “well, you like buying things, and I like growing, so…”

    LOL

When Ella says Marshall’s name it sounds like “purple”.

    This morning: M:”it’s vendredi!”
    R:”beaucoup de vent ce vent-dredi!”
    M:”and sunny on Sunday!”
    I love a bilingual famille.

This morning, instead of screaming and crying in her crib until one of us went in to get her, I could hear her going “dada? Dada! Dada?” … Dada was in the shower. A few minutes later I heard “mama? Mama!” yay! I went in a picked her up. She is such a doll.

Marshall started Zumbatomic with Jen Samuel last week. He loves it SO MUCH. He begged for us to put his new favourite Zumba songs on his iPhone. Dynamite. Chihuahua. Ohlaley.
We got him Dynamite and all week he has been singing and dancing to it. This week Jen gave him a cd with 10 songs on it. He is beyond thrilled. So are we because I can’t keep singing Dynamite all day at work ;)

Lately we’ve been having a hard time getting Marshall out of bed in the mornings. This morning, the three of us were sitting at the table together and Marshall was still in bed. I called up”Maaaarshall!” then Ella goes “Ma-boo”, I looked at Rick and said “your turn” so he did it. We went around the table a few times like that giggling over it. It was a fun morning.

Rick ended up having to carry mr. Sleepyhead down in his pjs.

    Easy like Sunday mornin’

This morning I was laying in bed putting off getting Ella because she was awake but not too upset about yet…then I heard feet coming down the hall. Marshall came in and asked if we knew that Ella was awake. Then he asked if one of us was going to get up because he was downstairs all alone and wanted some company. I asked him how long he had been awake, and he said he thought it was maybe like a half hour or like 5 minutes. He then announced he was going to go play with Ella (who was in her crib).

I got up and went into Ella’s room and she was reading books with all her toys from her basket (books, soft dolls) all around her. He was talking to her and she was “talking” back.

    The cutest.

Marshall got a “gravedigger” remote control truck for Xmas… Ella thinks it’s hilarious and Marshall loves making her laugh.

Ella loves her new baby dolls and stroller. She drives one baby around quite a bit and feeds her a bottle, tuck-tucks her blanky on her just like mommy does for Ella.
