    Mother’s Day 2009

Wow, I can’t beleive I didn’t post anything about that wonderful day!

The saturday of that weekend, I went to the gym, and we did some shopping together – we went to the Roots73 store where I got my super-cute grey hat, and my new favourite capris… got some takeout and brought it over to Grampy’s, then I went and found some Steve Madden shades at Winners on my way over to M-J’s place for my massage.

Sunday, I slept in slightly, while Rick was downstairs prepping a broccolli quiche for us for breakfast. He made me cappuccinos with frothy milk and cinnamon on top! I got to watch the Sound of Music with Marshall (just the first half) (while Rick did all the dishes!). I got some time to myself – Rick took Marshall to the grocery store to buy Lobster. We had lobster rolls for lunch (what a decadent day!) made by Rick of course ;)

For dinner, we ordered House of Lam and I finally found my favourite Chinese dish from there: Koon Poo Chicken – mmmm was spicy, full of veg and chicken and cashews! We picked up the food and brought it over to Mary’s place for a feast. I also had the makings of veggie enchiladas so I threw those together to bring for Rick and Randy.

All in all, a splendid day!

    Do a deer

New pics and videos added here

Marshall has had a song in his head all week, only he sings it constantly so I now have it in my head too. It’s the Do Re Mi song from the Sound of Music – he loves this movie. We watched it for the first time together on Mother’s Day and I was surprised at how much he enjoyed the first half. He then requested to see “the movie with the kids and the singing” later in the week.

There are a couple of videos of him going completely bonkers with the song after a box of Smarties.

We did the MS Walk today and it was a nice day for it, though a bit chilly with the wind. I raised $450 or so, Marshall raised $10 and my dad brought in $125 or so, so not a bad haul as a team!

I was only $50 away from my goal – it’s still not to late to donate if you were thinking of doing it! See my previous post for a link.

MS Walk is coming up soon!

I have a number of people in my family who have been diagnosed with MS, and my uncle Mike passed away from MS complications. We started walking in the MS Walk in 2007 when we moved to Moncton because it’s a nice way to get out and get some exercise, and it happens in May every year, which is the month of my uncle’s death, and I believe also the month of his birthday.

    So here’s my plug:
    Dear everyone,
Support me in the MS Walk and make a difference in the life of someone living with MS.

In addition to funding research, the MS Society of Canada provides support and services to help those living with this disease, their families and caregivers.

Visit my personal fundraising page and make a donation online.

Please join me in my efforts to end this disease by making a donation today. Secure online donations can be made by VISA, Master Card, American Express or Diners Club. A non-alterable electronic tax receipt for your donation will be sent to you by e-mail.
