    Happy Easter everyone!

Finally a little time to relax! :)

Last night, Rick went to see some curling with our friends Dave and LoriAnn (who brought their little 3-week-old Mia with them – she’s DARLING! … and who I just realized I didn’t take any pictures of!  Gosh I’m bad with the pictures when visiting with ppl! ack!)  The y had arrived friday night and brought some yummy indian food with them for us to share and we had a nice little visit before they went to see some curling friday night.

Marshall and I went to Mary’s place for some turkey dinner and of course desserts!  Mary made a homemade key lime pie that was delicious.  There was also chocolate for Marshall of course ;)

We woke up to a wet snow blizzard and about a foot of it on the ground already.

Marshall was up bright and early despite not getting to sleep until after 930pm last night.  He was a bit cranky at first and wanted to cuddle in our bed (at 7am) but then he got a glimpse of what was sitting outside his door that he had walked past earlier.  The Easter Bunny had hopped all the way upstairs to put a basket with kinder eggs, tiny Lindt bunnies and some new books and a new Thomas dvd inside.  Very. Exciting!  We immediately had to read the new books to him:  Fifteen Animals (Sandra Boynton), Guess How Much I Love You, and Where’s Dave.  Where’s Dave was a favourite and we had to read that one 5 times.  *giggle*

Then it was time for downstairs.  The Easter Bunny had thoughtfully given him an empty chicken basket (with dangly legs!) to put the found eggs in.  They were plastic eggs with tiny reese peanut butter eggs and mini cream eggs inside.  He found all 12 eggs with a little help.  The search might have been easier if the livingroom weren’t covered in toys everywhere – makes it hard to see an egg, you know?

Grampy came over with a chocolate monster truck (Grave Digger!!?? *LOL*) and a Doodlebops cd and concert shirt.

Then it was time for some lunch and some playing outisde in the snow.  He’s now upstairs “resting” in mommy and daddy’s bed.  This seems to be  new trend in the afternoon nap – it’s a real treat to sleep in our bed apparently.

Earlier I mentioned that I was tired and doing other people tax returns in my personal time.  I should have mentioned that this is by choice!  You know, for extra cash.  And also I can’t stand to see my family do their own returns and screw them up ;) haha or worse: go to H&R Block …. aaaaargh!

I’ve just been doing them while watching tv mostly, unless they require more attention, in which case I’ll come up here in the office and plug into the printer.

Honestly?  I still haven’t done my own!  oops.  *L*  We’re getting refunds this year due to tuition fees and childcare, so there’s no rush.  :)

I took lots of pics this weekend and over the last week or so to try to catch up on things… will be posting those sometime today – or tonight maybe while catching up on some tv ;)

    Breaking News

Please note that this blog may be out of commission for a bit while the Dunns undergo a rather busy couple of months with curling curling curling and work work work.

More news will be available in the next few weeks.

    ***********

Generally we are keeping well, but rather busy.  There are pictures on the camera that have not been unloaded.  I have really just been too busy to update this blog!  There have been lots of fun times being had though.  Just no time to write about them!

    Lemme see… in brief:

World Curling is here.  Rick took the week off for it.  Need I say more?

Work is really busy with taxes and corporate files and I was working today and will be going in again tomorrow.

Some of this is due to the fact that we got really sick a few weeks ago.  Marshall had his first anitbiotics for his first ear infection.  I got really bad tonsilitis and ended up with 3.5 days off in one week.  All has been well since the swelling went down, but my throat is now sore again, so I am trying to get to bed early, but I have been failing every night this week due to doing other peoples’ tax returns in my personal time.

Marshall has been exceptionally cute of late.  He speaks quite clearly most of the time now, though from time to time we can’t understand what he’s saying and he gets really PISSED about it.

A couple of nights ago we walked to the playground and played and went on the swings together etc. and walked back.  He was sitting in his bed after we read a book together and he took his soother out and said “Mommy I had fun time with you at the playground today” and I agreed that I had a fun time too.  And he wiggled and smiled and brought his shoulders up to his ears.  ADORABLE.

Rick taught him to say Hurry Hard which he did at the curling this week.

    That is all. :P
