Ok, so I’m a bit late … lately it’s been so busy at work and at home, so I’ve felt like I’m just running around…so pics will be added soon, I promise (like in the next couple of weeks)
This weekend we went to visit the Duke of Sussex (aka Jamie) and had a nice lunch and visit, and we left Nana there so she could get a good visit in with her baby.
Then we went to Fredericton to have a quick visit with Gram. We had a swim in her pool Saturday afternoon, but Marshall didn’t care for the temperature of the water and was really upset calling for Daddy the whole time. Daddy was busy studying in the screen house!
On father’s day, we enjoyed some ham and asparagus quiche, we had a little playtime at the local school playground (where I went to grade 3), then me and Gram took Marsh over to O’Dell to see if they still had some animals to see. Unfortunately, it’s all different from when I was a kid. It’s all trails now, which I’m sure is nice if we’d brought bug lotion and a stroller. It used to have fenced-in deer and a moose, and a stable with horses. Now all that’s left are the geese and ducks. And they apparently weren’t too fussy about our honey oat bread!
We had a little run-in with some older kids, one of whom at first petted Marshall on the head like a dog, then later disallowed his access to the playhouse. We decided to let them have it.
I drove mom’s old car (the alero) back to Moncton and Rick and Marshall drove our car back. We have borrowed mom’s old car until August to make things a bit easier with my courses coming up in July.
Nana and Jamie came to Moncton for our Father’s Day dinner at Maverick’s, which was good, but not really worth the high prices in our opinion. We had a gift certificate to use up though, so that made it a good deal
Today it’s back to the grind for me…today is the deadline for filing self-employed personal taxes, and there are corporate taxes due June 30th…. can’t wait until July!
