A quick update in the life of Rick
- It’s budget day in New Brunswick. We’re not expecting anything awesome.
- I’ve been sleeping really well lately – so has Marshall!
- It has been sunny for several days in a row – Vitamin D feels good.
- I’m taking a managerial accounting course starting in April.
- I am no longer alone in the office; it’s great to have colleagues!
- We are so glad we chose a variable rate mortgage.
- Marshall got his hair cut.
- rmilk.com is an awesome way to keep a to-do/reminder list
- I am listening to so many podcasts these days (mostly tech stuff)
- Watching the Brier was okay, but not spectacular (the Scotties was better)
- I won 4 times in a row on Tim’s cups (each has a 1 in 9 chance)
- I’m cooking turkey dinner on Friday.
- I’m having a hard time in fantasy hockey this year. Next season will be better.
- We haven’t taken nearly enough pictures lately.
- My cousin in Ottawa is likely to have her second baby any day now!

More snow
It’s hard to believe, but we’re getting more snow! It’s a blizzard out there right now.
Marshall has been saying lots of things, although they’re often hard to make out. He says NO quite clearly though. Also, GO. And BOOM, UP and MORE.
He says the names of most of the kids at his daycare: Lexy, Liam, Ashley, Dante, Marco. Also the babysitter’s name, Cathy. He says upstairs and downstairs.
Tonight he said ELMO. We were playing with his new elmo book that has buttons that make sounds.
Tonight we were also playing tent with a box and a blanket. He loves this game that he learned to play at Gram’s last weekend.

Work has been super busy. I was there putting in a few hours today. Next week I’m in Sackville NB auditing all week. And there are a lot more of those coming up since one of my coworkers left us for another company.
At home, we’ve got a maid service coming in every 2 weeks to help us out since we’ve been so busy. It’s mostly been a real treat
Last night we went to our 2nd “hot couples bowling”. We met some really awesome people and had a lot of fun! Marshall was a bit upset at first – the bowling includes a playroom for the kids with a couple of awesome babysitters. After about an hour he settled in though and had a good time. We also won one of the draw prizes for the evening which was a really nice basket of Olivier products!
