    What’s new?

    Let’s see…

Marshall has started to say “moa” (more) when he wants more of something.  We’re working on the “please” part ;)

Thursday, I took him with me to dinner with my friend Annette who was visiting from Halifax and the waitresses went bananas over him.  One of the waitresses insisted that I should send his picture to the Gerber company, and insisted that since I make such a nice baby I absolutely must have more!  *L*

Friday morning we went to Peekaboos with Marie-Claude and her son Marek (5 months).

Yesterday we went to visit some friends who have a little boy about 6 weeks younger than Marshall, named Will.  Will has some pretty cool toys!  Marshall didn’t like it when Will was in the Dora tent at the same time and kind of got a little rough, but Will’s used to his rather large cousins, and he’s a tough little guy.  Unfortunately though, Marshall got a hold of little Will’s hair and got a great big handful of it.  Will was upset and we scolded Marshall and told him that he hurt Will and that wasn’t very nice.  Then I noticed Marshall was kind of looking down at his hand and there was a chunk of Will’s hair!  yikes!

This morning we were a bit nervous because he was quite lethargic.  But we figured maybe it was just that he hadn’t eaten much supper last night, and then hadn’t had any breakfast yet.  He had a good appetite for his breakfast and seemed to perk up a bit so we decided to go out shopping.  Just as we were finished getting him dressed, he had a little projectile vomiting…well more than a little – both Rick and I were covered and the floor was too.  Although it was terribly disgusting and smelly, I did have to laugh just a bit at the situation.  Rick had slippers on to protect his feet from the mess, so he took them off and ran off for towels and blankies and laid them all out and we cleaned M up and put his pjs back on.  We weren’t about to take him out in that condition.

So it was a bit of a rough day… Rick moved all the furniture out of Marshall’s room and cleaned the floors really well.

By lunch he seemed back to normal.  Tonight he is having a hard time getting to sleep.

His incisors are coming in now, the one on the right is fully out and the left is just coming through now.  Further inspection tonight (on a giggling foolish boy who wouldn’t go to sleep) revealed that he has 2 more teeth on the upper right that are just poking through.

That’s about all I have to report at the moment!

    Happy 2008!

It’s been a while since I’ve updated, but since we’re having our 4th snow storm in the past week, and our first day back at work was cancelled…I thought I’d get caught up on a few things!

We had an excellent xmas break and we’re so glad we decided not to travel anywhere, especially considering the weather we’ve been having.  The furthest we travelled was to the north end of Moncton for a xmas eve brunch.  Marshall got to open all his gifts from Mary and the gang since he was looking for something to do, and once he opened one gift it was all over – opening the gifts was the best part!

I think Rick has filled you in on all the xmassing details.  We got lots of really nice gifts!  Marshall got a couple of little people sets, including the garage (although it’s quite different now from when we were kids!) and lots of clothes and a ride-on truck…and he quite enjoys the dollar store hockey sticks for playing with daddy.  The toy of the day was the IKEA wooden roller from Aunti Stace – it was unwrap and play, so no putting together like some of the other toys – he squealed and ran through the house squealing when he opened that one *giggle*.  He helped us open all of our gifts too, of course.

New Year’s eve was quiet around here, since it was snowing and the party we were going to was cancelled.  Jamie made it in from Sussex though, and we invited a couple of the neighbours over for a drink and had lots of snacks and chats.  We made one of the recipes we saw demonstrated at the Saint John City Market:  Crispy Cones with Spicy Cashew Chicken (delicious!!!).

[side note:  had a hard time finding the darn paper cup cones to make the wonton cones, which is the coolest part of the recipe.  I checked about 6 or 7 different stores, then finally went to Shoppers Drug mart and snagged about 6 cups from their water bottle cup dispenser.  Then I heard that Dad's office has them, so I asked him to pick up 9 more cups so I'd have an even dozen, and dad showed up with a box of 200 cups! *L*  So we're set for cones for the next 20 years or so]

Marshall has taken to grabbing us by the pantleg and pulling to take us wherever it is he wants us to go, and then patting the couch or the chair where he wants us to sit.  He’s usually pretty shy around new people until they give him some food.  We thought it was quite surprising when he pulled at Pamela’s pantleg… so she got up and followed him to the front door where he pointed at her shoes and waved bye bye.  *LOL*  We all had a pretty good laugh about that.  It was his bedtime you see, and that means the company goes home?  I guess!

Yesterday, Rick and Jamie took care of making a lovely turkey dinner for us, and we watched I Am Legend which was disturbing, sad, scary, but still…pretty good!  Dad came over and had some turkey and chased Marshall around. :)   Marshall is currently catching up on some ZZZs.

Today I’m just catching up on uploading pics and videos which you can view here and here.

Catching up on some of my friends’ blogs too and came across this very interesting video called the Story of Stuff.

Also, adding some blog links and recipe links sometime soon.
