We found out today that I will be writing my big exam again next year. Kind of a bummer, but on the bright side, it’s the last time I can write it, so it will all be over no matter what next year.
Gram is here to babysit Marshall and Rick and I are hitting the road for a nice weekend away.
Apparently, we are already 3 weeks into November – and closing in on Christmas! Yikes. Work has been over the top lately, and both of us have been scrambling just to keep above water.
We had an awesome family photo shoot last weekend, and we should be getting the prints very soon. I’m excited to see how they turn out. I know we’ve been slow to add photos and videos to the site lately - there is no shortage of them to process. Hope to get that done over the weekend.
Off to Fredericton tomorrow for a conference on New Brunswick Self Sufficiency. Woot. Marshall will be happy to spend some time with his Gram while his parents have a nice dinner to celebrate Tam’s birthday.
Marshall is learning lots of new stunts lately, including jumping up and down on Daddy, throwing food he doesn’t like across the room, and climbing up (and standing on) the dining room chairs. The last one is particularly worrisome because he can move the chairs around wherever he wants them. Should be interesting to see how this unfolds.
We picked Marshall up from daycare and he was wearing a lion jacket that was so adorable! He wore his Tigger suit out trick-or-treating though. So we have pics of both. We took turns taking him out – I started with our block. The first house was our neighbour, and he pretty much invited himself in, so I got a tour of their main level 
, the next house he was a little more timid as they were dressed up as a pirate and Minnie Mouse, so he turned around and went back down the stairs. Then we crossed the street and on the way over saw a whole parade of kids – a friend of mine (running partner) was among them and we stopped to chat for a few minutes, but Marshall was a bit scared of her pirate costume. Her daughter’s a bit older and said she loved my baby and touched Marshall’s cheek. She was a butterfly. So cute! Then Rick took him down the street a bit. He seemed to enjoy himself, and didn’t want to stop I don’t think! He decided it was a good time to practice going up and down stairs.
We also got some of his new dance moves on video – it’s been hard to catch him in the act with the camera and the right lighting.
I’m uploading some pics and videos now. It’s taking a while, so I might not get the link finished tonight.
Yesterday, Gram came to visit and look after Marsh while we went to a wine festival. We had a great time! We were too tired to go out anywhere after that.
