First road trip

This weekend we took our first trip: pics

It took a long time to get on the road since we brought everything but the kitchen sink.  However, we did use everything we brought. (the cloth diapers, receiving blankets, cloths, clothes, bouncy chair, bathtub…)  Marshall has quite the entourage.

We finally hit the road around 330pm and arrived in Moncton close to 6pm.  Marshall slept most of the way, and when he wasn’t sleeping he was content to watch out the window.  We had dinner with our friends Carla and Mark on their 4th anniversary, and their 13-week-old daughter Paige, who was sporting some new earings.  We arrived at Uncle Jamie’s in Sussex Corner around 9pm, where he met Julia, Jiminy and Mulligan for the first time.
Friday we made it to Fredericton and Gram was soooo excited to see him again.  She spoiled him all weekend with cuddles so now we can’t put him down ;) haha.  We picked up some vietnemese and thai food.  And it would seem that Marshall didn’t like it when it came through to him.  He was fussy and spit up a lot.  Could have been the broccoli, or maybe the curry?  Who knows.
Saturday, mom and I hit the market, and on our way, I spotted an exersaucer at a yardsale we had to stop for ($15! a steal!) and we decided to keep it at Gram’s house for now.  Later, we got to visit with my cousin’s wife (and my friend) Rebecca, and her mom Brenda and kids Ben and Claire, and they loved the exersaucer.

Sunday, a neighbour of mom’s, Rena, came over for a visit and brought an I Spy quilt she made for him (pics to come), and just after she left, mom’s friend Linda came to have a peek at him.  We finally hit the road for Moncton at about 4pm, stopped at the Country Pumpkin for some goodies on the way.

Sunday night, we stopped in to visit my brother Steve, and then landed at Grampy’s place where Mary, Val and Randy jr. popped by to see him.

Marshall is the main attraction whereever we go!

Monday we visited the Moncton CFIB office, had lunch with Dad (Grampy), and then coffee with Dad and Jamie before hitting the road again at 630pm.  We stopped in Sackville for a tour, and the Masstown market for some blueberries, and arrived home around 10pm – Marshall was in bed by midnight, so not too bad.

Whew!  Today is catchup and recoup day.
