Yesterday, Marshall was awarded a certificate of recognition at school for identifying that his classmate was beginning to choke on a cookie, then seeking help from the teacher. He’s such a good boy!

Took Ella to a walk-in clinic yesterday. She stood in the middle of the waiting room and glowered at everyone for a bit before deciding to sit on my lap.
When I say glowered I really mean it. It was the nastiest dirtiest look I’ve ever seen. Combine that with red-rimmed runny pink-eyed eyes, snot-crusted sleep-mussed hair, raw red runny nose, soother in, blanky and lamby in armpit, she was quite the sight.

Yesterday, I noticed that a pair of pants I bought for Marshall about 2 months ago looked a bit short on him. I said “Marshall! Are those pants getting too small for you already???” and he replied, “well, you like buying things, and I like growing, so…”
LOL

When Ella says Marshall’s name it sounds like “purple”.

Mid to high-20′s, three days this week. Previous record high was 11? Incredible. The windows at home are all open, and the laundry is on the line!

Webkinz
Recently, Marshall has taken to the whole Webkinz phenomenon. For those who don’t know, these are plush toy animals that you buy that each come with their own unique code that allows you to ‘manage’ them online. By ‘manage’, I mean ‘feed’, play games with, interact with others, etc. all over the internet. Well yesterday, Marshall took it upon himself to bring a sheet of paper with columns that he had drawn, and a marker – to school. When he came home, he proudly announced that he had collected several of his friends’ ‘usernames’ for Webkinz World – which would allow him to invite them to his ‘Webkinz Party’. This kid is clearly thinking things through, and is rather enterprising. He will no doubt have some pretty strong ideas when he gets a little older…

I would say he gets lots of good ideas from his parents who are both entrepreneurs

As official household diaper washer, I am thrilled that Ella put her first business in its place prior to her 2nd birthday. Very impressed!
